Pinocchio Park in Collodi

Pinocchio Park is a unique destination worldwide, showcasing a blend of art, literature, architecture, nature, and play that cannot be found in any other park. It is a magical place where the narrative crafted by Carlo Lorenzini intertwines with the works of some of Italy’s most renowned artists from the post-World War II era.
The Carlo Collodi National Foundation is leading the park’s revitalization project as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). This initiative aims to enhance small cultural sites and promote the unique identities of historic parks and gardens. Hydea has been commissioned to design and oversee the renovation efforts, focusing on restoring the park’s iconic character to compete effectively with large amusement parks.
The project encompasses not only the restoration of architectural elements and artworks but also the renewal of the plant heritage. Additionally, it seeks to enrich the visitor experience by introducing contemporary interpretations and adding new narrative layers to the existing story. Alongside the restoration of the park’s plant, landscape, and artistic components, the park will also undergo technological upgrades, implementing modern engineering solutions and steering its management toward a high degree of eco-sustainability.
