Concept and final design of the outdoor spaces, gardens and landscape; assistance to the cProgettazione definitiva ed esecutiva di spazi esterni, verde e paesaggio; assistance in the construction supervision.

Opened in 1953, Luneur Park in Rome is the oldest Italian amusement park. After a substantial renovation, followed to a long period of abandonment, the park reopened in 2016 to schools, summer camps, Sunday visitors, and whoever is looking for an “edu-tainment” experience, with workshops that use amusement as a learning tool.

Some elements of the old park remain, including the ferries wheel, and are now incorporated in a park that spans nearly 7 ha; a multifunctional landscape offering diverse experiences, not least, environmental education.

The concept that guided HYDEA who led the redesigning of the park was to rise above and beyond the simple idea of a thematic or amusement park. The result was an authentic urban renewal, aimed at the 0-12 visitors age group, where the rides and carnival booths share space with environmental workshops, focusing on nature and ecologically sustainable themes.
