The project concerns the construction of a theme park on climate and climate change with educational and didactic purpose called ‘Parco Florentia’.
The park will be developed, for the most part, alongside the hydraulic left of the Arno river in Florence, in the stretch between the areas called Argingrosso up to Mantignano, and in a smaller part on the right side of the river. The two parts will be connected to each other by a new cycle-pedestrian footbridge over the Arno.
The project will lead to an urban, landscape, socio-economic and environmental redevelopment of the area, making it accessible to citizens and improving the leisure offer in the city.
The final design covered the first section, social gardens, bicycle and pedestrian paths, social orchards, picnic areas, equipped play areas, fitness areas (crosstraining, yoga, soft gymnastics), skatepark and BMX, an area equipped for shows and for temporary markets.
