Works Supervision of the main sewer I in Stara Zagora, in the Maritza river basin.
The construction of the main sewer I in the city of Stara Zagora, the sixth largest city in Bulgaria with 142,000 inhabitants, is included in the plan of interventions aimed at to reducing the severe pollution of the Maritza River.
The intervention, carried out and financed by the European Cohesion Fund, consists of a 1 km section of main sewer with a 2000 mm diameter GRP pipe, and a 500 m section of sewer with a double 500 mm diameter GRP pipe.
The works included the construction of two flood spillways and a railway crossing with a pipe pusher.
The work was contracted under a Fidic Red Book 1999 contract.
