Provence Designer Outlet

MIRAMAS | FRANCE

Master plan and architectural design of the shopping center, from earlier concept stage to detailed design, assistance during the construction phase.

The shopping center is harmoniously blended into the extraordinary rural landscape of southern Provence and was co-designed with MAP Marseille Architecture Partenaires.
The design’s driving standard was building sustainability: Provence Designer Outlet features high energy efficiency and eco-friendly building materials, while minimizing negative environmental impact. The MEP design was also inspired by sustainability, whereby biofuels and on-site energy recycling technology are widely used for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
The main access gate is marked by a majestic wooden pergola featuring vertical gardens designed by world-famous botanist Patrick Blanc, mirroring their greenery in the water pools below.
The entire compound consists of 15 different unit blocks including 93 stores and 10 restaurants. Provence Designer Outlet received a special prize in the Prix Versailles 2018. The Prix Versailles awards recognition to the most remarkable structures in commercial architecture.
