The Government of Belize, through the Belize Solid Waste Management Authority (BSWaMA), awarded HYDEA the preparation of final design and tender documents, and the construction supervision for the Mile 24 Sanitary Landfill cell expansion.
The project seeks to improve waste disposal through upgrading the existing landfill cell and leachate treatment systems.
The bidding phase awarding the works contract is now completed and the construction supervision services will run September 2024 to July 2025, followed by the usual 12 months Defect Liability Period.
