Over the last decades, economic development has been accompanied worldwide by an increase in waste the generation, and a proper waste disposal has become absolutely necessary. To support developing countries in meeting this challenge, the European Union, the World Bank and other Regional Banks are financing ambitious programmes.

In circular economy and waste management, HYDEA has accumulated an extensive experience at international level. Since the early 1990s, the company has been involved in the preparation of waste management plans. Furthermore, HYDEA has dealt with the design and works supervision of waste storage and disposal infrastructures and the securing of depleted facilities.

HYDEA is active worldwide in the designing of landfills and waste management strategies, by pursuing the 3R principles: reduction, reuse, and recycling.
