 FLORENCE | ITALIA

Concept design review, final design, H&S services, work supervision, accounting, and complementary services.

San Giovanni di Dio Hospital is undergoing an expansion project that includes a new four-floor pavilion adjacent to the existing building.
This pavilion will span 11,000 square meters, with 4,000 square meters dedicated to an emergency department designed to handle 50,000 admissions annually. The emergency department will feature 36 treatment stations, six minor injury clinics, an intensive short observation area, and five high-intensity beds.
The four floors composing the building will be interconnected and linked to the existing pavilions by two main circulation routes: one to the west, aligned with the entrance gallery for external visitors, and another to the east, connecting with the main corridor of the Vespucci Pavilion for internal movements.
