HISTORIC BUILDINGS

HYDEA has always been active in restoration of historical buildings, at the design stage or in the work supervision.

On more than one occasion, interventions followed a change in the buildings’ intended use, and often included a conservative restoration work on the façades and interiors, including the recovery of wall decorations and frescoed parts.

Activities have involved monumental buildings, such as the Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome, and also more conventional historical edifices, such as the Magazzini del Sale in Cervia, or the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, including many prestigious Florentine buildings, such as Villa Favard or Palazzo Venturi-Ginori, built by Bernardo Rucellai in 1498.
